Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026. This policy explains what personal data we collect on richardcussons.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Who we are

The data controller is Richard Cussons, trading as Savvy Advice Limited (company no. 06059091, registered in England and Wales), based in Dorset, England. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration reference: ZB440519). You can contact us via the contact page.

What data we collect and why

Booking a free call

When you book a call via the Calendly booking widget, Calendly collects your name, email address, and chosen appointment time. We use this to arrange and conduct the call. Lawful basis: legitimate interest. We retain this data until you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it to manage our client relationship.

Free resources

When you request a free resource (such as the Bottleneck Scorecard), we collect your email address to deliver it to you. You are then added to a follow-up email sequence with related content. Lawful basis: consent — you provide your email in exchange for the resource. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Newsletter

When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address to send you updates and related content. Lawful basis: consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand how people find and use this site.

PostHog — runs without cookies and without storing any data between visits. It records anonymised page views only. No consent is required because no personal data or persistent identifiers are collected. PostHog processes data on servers in the EU.

Google Analytics 4 — only runs if you accept cookies via the banner on this site. It records anonymised page views, scroll depth, and link clicks. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Lawful basis: consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site.

Site infrastructure

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes your IP address and HTTP request headers as part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse. Lawful basis: legitimate interest. Cloudflare acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Standard server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes.

Cookies

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — only set if you accept the cookie banner. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. They do not identify you personally and are not used for advertising.

PostHog does not set any cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) as part of its bot-protection service — this is a strictly necessary cookie and does not require consent under PECR.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

To exercise any of these rights, get in touch via the contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints
